It’s December 2025. AI is everywhere.
As parents in Tokyo, we often hear two conflicting opinions about Artificial Intelligence:
"AI will make learning English useless because translation apps are perfect."
"AI creates lazy kids who don't want to think for themselves."
At Kreateish, we believe both of these are wrong.
AI isn't here to replace human creativity, and it certainly isn't here to replace English. In fact, in the world of AI, English is the new coding language. Here is why we teach our students to use AI not as a shortcut, but as a superpower.
The "Calculator" of the 21st Century
Remember when math teachers warned us, "You won't always have a calculator in your pocket"? As it turns out, we do. And because we have calculators, we can solve bigger, more complex problems faster.
We view AI the same way. We don't teach students to use AI to write their essays or do their homework for them. That is passive consumption.
Instead, we teach them to use AI to make their tasks easier so they can focus on the big ideas.
Why English is the "Control Code"
This is the secret that many English schools miss: The most powerful AI models in the world "think" in English.
To get a great result from an AI (whether it's generating art, code, or text), you need to give it a great prompt. This is called Prompt Engineering, and it requires a rich, precise English vocabulary.
If a student tells an AI: "Make a picture of a dog," the result is boring. But if a Kreateish student says: "Create a futuristic Shiba Inu wearing neon armor, standing in a rainy Tokyo street, cyberpunk style, vivid colors," the result is magic.
By learning advanced English adjectives, verbs, and sentence structures, our students aren't just learning to speak to people; they are learning to command technology.
Consumer vs. Creator
There is a big difference between a child who stares at a screen and a child who uses a screen to build something.
In our Kreate with AI and Future Skills classes, we focus on three rules for using AI:
AI is the Co-Pilot, You are the Pilot: You make the decisions; the AI just helps execute them.
Question Everything: AI can make mistakes. We teach kids the critical thinking skills to check the AI's work.
Amplify Creativity: If you can't draw well, AI can help visualize your idea. If you get stuck on a coding bug, AI can help find it.
Future-Proof Your Child
We are moving past the era of "rote memorization." The future belongs to the kids who can combine English fluency, Creative Thinking, and Tech Literacy.
Don't let your child fear the future. Let them Kreate it.
Scaling Up: Solving the World's Biggest Problems Ultimately, we teach AI skills because we want our students to dream bigger. When a child isn't bogged down by the small, repetitive details of a project, their mind is free to tackle complex, real-world challenges. Whether it is brainstorming solutions for climate change in our EcoCraft labs or designing better cities, AI acts as a lever that multiplies their effort. We are training a generation that doesn't just study the world's problems—they have the digital tools and the English fluency to actually start fixing them.
